Delaware Gov. Jack Markell spoke on the current progress that has been made in the criminal justice system, and what reforms can lead to a “brighter future” for the state during the 2015 State of the State address Thursday in the Senate chamber at Legislative Hall.

Focusing on Wilmington, Markell said the city is now working with the U.S. Department of Justice to combat its problem with violent crime, as well as providing safe and constructive after-school activities to city youth.
