A patent battle between a vehicle technology company on one side and Ford and Jaguar on the other came down to the definition of “page.” And Ford and Jaguar won.
The issue in the patent infringement case brought by Vehicle Interface Technologies against Ford Motor Co. and Jaguar Land Rover North America was the car manufacturers’ use of user interface displays in their vehicles that allowed occupants to do things ranging from checking mileage to selecting between the radio or CD player.
