The trial court did not abuse its discretion in awarding an additur where plaintiff's failure to mitigate injuries through treatment made identification and determination of compensation problematic, but made a procedural error in awarding additur while also denying plaintiffs' motion for a new trial, where defendants should have been given option between additur or new trial.
