Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn on Wednesday announced a new legislative initiative aimed at expanding access to addiction treatment and curbing opioid prescriptions in a renewed effort to combat the state’s growing heroin and opioid crisis.

At a press conference broadcast online via Facebook Live, Denn said the three-bill package would break down treatment barriers for patients who have been turned away by insurance companies and hold accountable care providers that prescribe opiates at particularly high rates.
