Gov. Jack Markell has created a task force to help improve juvenile offenders’ access to educational and other services to reduce recidivism.
The Youth Re-Entry Education Task Force, created under Markell’s Executive Order 45, will develop recommendations for ensuring educational services will be available to youth offenders upon their release from secure care facilities. A special focus of the task force will be juveniles released from Level 5 secure care facilities.
