To Delaware Law Weekly:
The article, “Candidates for Delaware AG Debate Judicial ‘Leniency’ in Criminal Cases,” published Sept. 10 in Delaware Law Weekly, contained comments by the Democratic and Republican candidates for attorney general which cast the Delaware judiciary in an unfair and inaccurate light. As the Green Party candidate for attorney general with over 14 years of experience at the Attorney General’s Office, I write to correct these inaccuracies. Our judges are not out of touch with our criminal justice system; they are respected jurists who follow specific guidelines to make bail and sentencing decisions.
