Delaware’s long-arm jurisdiction did not extend to reel in a Norwegian corporate civil defendant even though it had engaged in previous litigation in the U.S. district court based in the state, the Superior Court for New Castle County has ruled.
The court’s decision effectively ended a case over injuries suffered by a North Carolina man in a car accident in South Dakota, which he alleged was caused by the faulty design of a three-wheeled motorcycle.
