Gov. Jack Markell is set next week to make public his pick to replace Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons Jr. on the Court of Chancery, an administration official said.
By law, the governor must formally notify the Senate of his selection 10 days before the chamber is scheduled to meet in special session to confirm the nomination on Oct. 28. Given that requirement, the governor’s deadline would be Oct. 18.
