Former Master in Chancery Abigail M. LeGrow on March 18 publicly took the oath of office to serve as a judge on the Delaware Superior Court, as those close to her touted her experience, talent and work ethic as a corporate litigator and officer on the Court of Chancery.

LeGrow had served as master since 2011, when then-Chancellor Leo E. Strine Jr. selected her to succeed Sam Glasscock III, who had just been elevated to the position of vice chancellor. Last fall, LeGrow was one of three female finalists for the vice chancellorship previously held by Donald F. Parsons Jr., but that post ultimately went to former Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati litigator Tamika Montgomery-Reeves in October.
