The Delaware Supreme Court has joined the Delaware Court of Chancery and federal appellate courts in limiting briefing by word count, instead of by pages.
Though long the topic of discussion in certain circles, the committee responsible for reviewing and recommending amendments to the official practices of the state’s high court only took up the issue of word counts recently, and Chief Justice Leo E. Strine Jr. cemented the shift in an order dated Aug. 19.
