The Delaware judiciary announced Friday that longtime Delaware state court administrator Patricia W. Griffin will succeed Kim E. Ayvazian as the next master in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Griffin, a former chief magistrate judge for the Justice of the Peace Court, has served in the role of administrator since 2005. During that time, she has supported some of the judiciary’s most ambitious efforts to improve the state’s court system and to reform the criminal justice system, assisting the Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and the Committee on Fairness in the Criminal Justice System.
