A case seeking to end the practice of requiring certain sex offenders to wear GPS monitor ankle bracelets has been allowed to move forward in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons Jr. on July 14 denied a motion to dismiss an action against the commissioner of the Delaware Department of Correction, which seeks an injunction on requiring the plaintiffs to wear the GPS bracelets. The plaintiffs include three convicted sex offenders now on probation or parole. They are also seeking a declaration that the requirement is unconstitutional.
