Five active judges and one private practice attorney have applied to lead the Delaware Superior Court, according to sources familiar with the process. The six candidates are vying to replace former Superior Court President Judge James T. Vaughn Jr., who was appointed to the state Supreme Court last month.
The candidates are Superior Court Judges William C. Carpenter Jr., Eric M. Davis, Jan R. Jurden and Paul R. Wallace; Justice of the Peace Court Chief Magistrate Alan G. Davis; and Ian Connor Bifferato, managing director of the Bifferato law firm.
