The Delaware judiciary and the University of Delaware last week entered into a 10-year partnership to institute private-sector management techniques in administering the courts’ increasing caseload.
The program will call on judicial branch employees, including judges, and key partners from the criminal justice system to learn new techniques and programs making better use of the court’s updated technology. For example, a new, statewide e-filing system is expected to be implemented across all Delaware courts by 2016, according to Chief Justice Leo E. Strine Jr.
