The Delaware Supreme Court has suspended a former prosecutor for six months and a day over his trial conduct that resulted in a defendant’s murder conviction being overturned.
The court’s July 27 ruling imposed harsher discipline on former Department of Justice deputy attorney general R. David Favata than the public reprimand sought by the Board on Professional Responsibility. The suspension of one day over six months means Favata would have to establish his rehabilitation before he could be readmitted to the practice of law in Delaware.
