Gov. Jack Markell last week rolled out a new initiative that aims to lay the regulatory and legal groundwork to expand the use and development of blockchain technology for Delaware-incorporated businesses.
The blockchain technology, a digital and public ledger for transactions, would allow companies to use so-called “smart contracts” to autonomously verify and enforce the performance of a contract when certain conditions are met.
