Attorney General-elect Matt Denn said he plans to hit the ground running to implement his seven-point crime-reduction plan as quickly as possible. The ambitious plan, along with his experience drafting legislation, could make him one of the more active attorneys general in terms of policy creation in Delaware history, political observers said.

Denn, the state’s current lieutenant governor, last week was elected attorney general with roughly 53 percent of the vote. Running as a Democrat, he beat the Republican candidate, corporate attorney Ted Kittila, who finished with 39 percent. Former prosecutor Catherine Damavandi of the Green Party finished third with 4 percent, while Independent Party candidate Dave Graham and Libertarian John Machurek earned 2 percent and 1 percent, respectively.
