In an opinion allowing a suit over tactics in a school board election to continue, the Delaware Court of Chancery last week laid out a possible roadmap for the parties to follow in a high-profile dispute that has already prompted an investigation by the Delaware Department of Justice and inspired legislation at the statehouse.

In the 129-page opinion, Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster denied a motion to dismiss by Red Clay Consolidated School District, saying the plaintiffs had pleaded sufficient facts to argue the school district violated federal and state law.
